Originally, Keune Haircosmetics was found in 1922 by a pharmacist from Amsterdam, named Jan Keune.

Back in the days, hair used to be curled by heating curling irons over gas burners, causing the risk of burn wounds on women's heads. Fascinates with curls, Jan started experimenting in his own first laboratory and eventually discovered the first-ever formula for a permanent fluid.

The design of a breakthrough solution is the effect of the hard and scrupulous work of our cross-functional teams of experts, who are powered by passion and skills. Testing is Key

Our team of scientific professionals always performs based on extensive rigorous scientific testing. It is highly important that whatever we claim is true so that our customers and consumers can enjoy safe hair products that provide strong, resilient, and healthy hair.

We are also proud to say that we never test on animals. Instead, we have a volunteering group of people who come in every week to test our products on their hair and scalp.
